Flashback Friday

Yes, this is the man I love :)

First Word

We have this picture just outside of Clara's room. Usually before naptime or bedtime we walk by all of our pictures, including this one and say goodnight to each person.

So, this afternoon I got little Clara out of bed and my little daughter - who has never uttered a real word in her life - pointed to that picture and CLEAR AS DAY said, "Jesus". I about died. Then she did it again. And again. I picked her up and stood next to the picture and asked her who it was and again she pointed and said, "Jesus". Then we both giggled because...dangit, it was just about the cutest and most amazing thing I've seen in a while :) This big word out of nowhere from a girl that has never spoken (well, let's give her some credit...she does speak jibberish).

So, perhaps I sound crazy, but I swear on all that is good that my daughter not only said this word, but knew who she was talking about.
