If only...

If only we'd been in our prime in the 80's...look how hot we'd both be. Meow.

Oh, the mullet. The acid wash. The pegged pants and the high-top shoes (which Caleb chopped off in the photo, but surely you can picture it in your mind!). Does it get any sexier than that?

One of my friends at the party said I fit the 80's bill and it wasn't a stretch to see me that way :) Look at me...I'm not thinking that's a compliment!

Chris from the backside. Oh, baby.

This is the girls. Yes, that is Kristi wearing a UNITARD. Love it.

This shot doesn't have everyone, but it's the only group one I have, darnit. There were some great costumes.

Thanks, Price's for the totally rad time. You always throw the greatest parties!!!

Memories-and-such

So here is your first look at "Memories-and-such", a blog I am putting together to sell different items I've been making. In the next few weeks it will be fully functioning, but not quite yet. I cannot figure out how to do links, but the address will be: memories-and-such.blogspot.com.

This is something I made for Thanksgiving. I think it would make a great November family night (or to use at the beginning of all your family nights during the month of November), and it is something you can pull out every year and use again-and-again. You can take a few minutes each family night and have everyone in the family write down something they are thankful for (or draw a picture if that's easier!). The board is magnetic, and all of the papers come with magnets, so you can display them throughout the month. You can change them each week, or just keep adding to the board until it is overflowing with all of your blessings!

Here the board is with some of the papers. Of course, they would all be written or drawn on, but you get the idea!

Anyway, this is just one of my ideas. Thought I would share!

Flashback Friday

Zak and Caleb. It's hard to remember that there was ever a time that we only had those two boys. I can't imagine life with two children. How lonely I would be!

Why exactly do we teach our children to be honest?!

Eli: "Mom, you're almost fat." Pause, thinking... "No, you ARE fat."

Introducing...

JUDE the dog

He seems to be a good little pet. The kids love him. I have not started daydreaming about backing over him the way I used to do with Chloe. That can only mean good things, right? Potty training is going fairly well. He's very gentle with Clara, who has absolutely NO fear of him and constantly rolls all over him and sits on his back. He's mellow and obedient and most days I'm glad to have him.

Flashback Friday (Oh, seriously...)

So I realize this isn't Halloween, and I promised all of my posts for October would be, but I look freaky enough here that it might as well be a Halloween picture! So this is in my younger, not-so-sweet days...with a face only a mother could love. But, dangit! I want those skinny legs back.

Wesley (my brother), Joey (Cousin), David (Cousin who sadly died a few years ago, awesome guy), Jennifer (David's sister, hippy chick, also very awesome), and me (homely).

How could you NOT love this girl?!

I had to take pictures this morning to prove to Chris that, yes, I do actually fix Clara's hair in the morning. She generally rips out any bows, ribbons, and rubberbands (and consequently a large amount of hair) within 0.5 seconds of having her hair fixed. So, by the time Chris gets home she's usually looking like a darling, but scraggly, little girl.

Some flava

Ah, yes, I must be in a crazy mood to be doing a post about my secret like of selected hip-hop crap. Yes, It's on my ipod. Yes, there are times when I listen to it loud and proud. It takes me to my "happy place" when I'm cleaning or running or feeling otherwise FUNKY. Lucky for all of you, I switched my playlist to songs with some flava (as my friend Erika would say)! Go ahead, get your groove on!
And for those of you not feeling it, don't worry, the music will likely change with my next post. Who the heck knows when that will be, though.
