Day 4
A habit I wish I didn't have:
Good grief. There are many.
I don't think this is so much a habit, but it IS the biggest personality flaw I think I have and I could certainly do with out it:
going into hyper-panic mode when I-
a) don't know where a child is, or
b) leap to the conclusion that any ailment I might have is surely something dreadful and deadly.
Yeah, I could do without that.

Day 3
Day 3
A picture with you and your friends:
Well, not a super flattering picture, but a picture none-the-less.
These are two of my very dearest friends. They are my go-to friends. I can count on either of these ladies for anything. They know absolutely everything about me. They have my back through thick and thin and everything inbetween. I love them very much. And truth be told, they are much better friends to me than I am to them. I can honestly say I do not deserve such amazing friends.

I cannot do a friendship post without including my other true loves. I don't talk to these ladies as much as I should (and the serious lack of friendship skills on my end are NO indicator how dear you are to me), but I consider them my soul sisters, no matter what the distance is between us. Love, love, love you girls!

Day 2
Day 2.
The meaning behind my blog name:
How could I not throw in a "call girl" reference with a last name like mine?
As my friend Megan once pointed out, doesn't it go well with the temple on my December background? :)
Then of course, there's the "family is everything". That, my friends, is because family IS everything.

Day 1
Day 1. Uno.
Recent Picture and 15 interesting facts:

Well, this is me today. How's that for recent?
Interesting facts...? Well, I'm pretty much an open book and I totally like to talk so those two things combined mean most people know everything about me. This is all old news :) And not-so-interesting.
1. I had my eyebrow pierced in high school. How awesome is that?
2. I could watch the movie "Top Gun" over and over again. Also love "Point Break". I'm a sucker for cute boys. Even cute 80's/90's boys.
3. I love the colors orange and yellow and truth-be-told, I miss my happy yellow house that everyone made fun of me for. And guess what? When I can afford to hire a painter, this house will too be yellow. For how can anyone be sad in a yellow house?
4. I love me some spicy, hot food. Jalapenos make most everything better.
5. I hate, hate, hate fingernail polish on my fingernails.
6. I adore the book "Gone With the Wind". My little Eli's middle name is "Rhett" after Rhett Butler :) Can you believe Chris agreed to that?
7. I love to make lists. Lists for goals. Lists for budgets. Lists for things-to-do. They make me feel organized and happy. Now ask how often I actually follow my lists :)
8. My kneecaps go out of socket and man, oh, man it hurts to put them back in.
9. I much prefer caramel to chocolate.
10. I am super touchy-feely. I love to be hugged and give hugs. Kisses are nice. Pats and squeezes and arms around the shoulders...all good things.
11. I've only been stung twice. Both by DEAD bees. How's that for crappy luck?
12. I am allergic to penicillin.
13. I have a birthmark on my head that looks like dirt. Many people in my life-time have tried licking their finger then wiping my head to get it off. Blasted thing is still there.
14. Some days, based on the amount of swearing I do in my head, I realize there is still some of the old Brittany left inside of me.
15. I only use homemade peppermint soap. It makes me so tingly and I love it.

30 Days
So last night I met my brother Alex's girlfriend. She's a babe and I loved her (more about that later). I visited her blog last night (see, we're already BFF) and I'm totally stealing this cute idea from her. I read all 30 days of her posts and feel like I learned a lot about this new person in my life.
Well, lucky for all of you, I'm going to do the same. And to be honest, I don't even know if anyone even reads my blog anymore, so what the heck. Someday someone will appreciate all of this random information about me, right?

Each day of the month, write a blog post according to these guidelines below:
Day 1-Recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself
Day 2-The meaning behind your Blog name

Not so long ago when it was warm...
Right before all this crazy, awful cold hit, I took the youngest kiddos on a walk along the Farmington Lagoon Trail. We ended up at the pond where we frolicked in the water for a good, long while. Such a fabulous afternoon!!
There is really nothing I would rather do than hang out with my little family.
However, I must say, there is just something about this crummy snow that we experiencing that brings out the crappy mom in me. I adore my children and really do love playing with them, but MAN, I do not enjoy playing in the freezing cold. I hate how long it takes to bundle everyone up. I hate frozen fingers and frozen toes. I hate being nervous for all the kiddos when they go sledding.
For now, I am just dreaming of days like this...

And on a side-note...isn't it sad that all of my older kids are usually other-wise occupied with friends, sports, more friends, dance, and other crazy teenager things? Blasted teens! I just can't convince them that feeding the ducks REALLY is as awesome as Frightmares on a Saturday.

Brandon Flowers (sigh)
On November 17 Chris and I went to the Brandon Flowers concert at the Depot in SLC.
So...setting aside all of those big, special days such as birthing children and whatever else you want to throw into that category...
this was seriously the most enjoyable evening of my life. I say that with total sincerity. A perfect, perfect night.
I absolutely looooove Brandon Flower's music.
I absolutely love loud music.
Combine those two things at a live show...I was just in Heaven.
Not to mention we were maybe 15 feet away from Brandon Flowers. He's a beautiful, talented man, no question about it.
Seriously, the thought of it now almost brings a tear to my eye.
Chris and I went to sushi before the show, laughed, teased, ate cookies (him) and hot chocolate (me), and thoroughly enjoyed eachothers company.
The only bad thing was that I forgot my blasted camera! ME! The woman who takes a million photos at every opportunity...I left my camera on my big night. So...these are stolen from a good friend who was also at the show. He was about the same distance away, just at a different angle. I was right smack in front and center.

My favorite songs of the night?
Well, for sure "Playing with Fire" - my favorite, favorite BF song,
"Swallow it" because it was so well done,
and Kim Carnes "Bette Davis Eyes".

Summer Recap PART 1 - Viva Las Vegas!
Isabelle had a National's dance competition at Loew's Lake Las Vegas in June, so I took the older kiddos on a quick road trip. We swam and ate and relaxed for three days. Isabelle's team, as always, rocked it at the competition. Great way to end the season.
These pictures are in a completely random order and I have no energy or brain capacity at 10:00pm to try to sort them out.

Isabelle and her best friend, Whitney before the Gala. Extra fancy and no parents allowed. They had so much fun dancing on stage and staying out late...BY THEMSELVES!

Isabelle didn't have much free time, but what she did have was mostly spent splashing around in the pool with all the cute girls.

Zak and Caleb are dorks and invented ways to entertain themselves in the evenings. They would go down from 9-11:00ish every night and take pictures with strangers in the elevators, or test-drive luggage carriers :) Some of the following pictures totally amuse me. And trust me, these are only a few of MANY photos taken!

Zak making friends with the ladies. He was quite popular.

Zak with the Bellman :)

Caleb "falling" down the stairs. hahaha. makes me laugh

Zak and more of his "lady friends"

Jonah chilling out at the pool. He was an awesome travelling companion. He's invited back anytime!

Random elevator pictures

The girlies before competition time!

Holy Hot Mama's!!! Yes, we just might be dorks, too.

Isabelle and her cute friend, Kamri, at dinner

The boys at dinner

There was a beach at the hotel. The boys were the only ones brave enough to actually get IN the water. It was a little "murky" for me.

Isabelle in her cute dress before the Gala.

Most of her team. Awesome end to an awesome dance year!!! "Big and Bad" #1!

School Time, Baby!
The first day of school...always an important fashion day. Well, at least for two of my children. The rest, not so much.
Either way, they all looked fabulous and had a great day...

Eli, so unbelievably excited to start 1st grade, mainly to start having lunch at school. Whatever it takes!

Jonah, entering 3rd grade

Isabelle is so much fun right now because she's loving clothes that make her stand out a bit. Certainly NOT one to try to stay under the radar. Love that about her!! 5th grade

Caleb, whining and complaining all the while about summer coming to an end. Zak and I strongly encouraged him to wear some "cooler" things this year (and by encouraged, I mean throwing all of his ugly and stained and too short athletic clothing in a pile in the corner of his room and forbidding him to ever wear any of it in public again. Harsh? Maybe). 8th Grade

Zak, my king of accessories. I, too, appreciate a fantastic accessory, so I can't blame the kid. Armed and ready for high school!! 10th grade

Happy Birthday Clara
Happy Birthday to my Sweetest Clara.
Her hearts desire: "My Daddy is going to give me a pink Barbie!" I'm pretty sure you can count on that :)
Practicing holding three fingers up (harder than you might think!)
Wearing new princess panties and doing awesome going in the potty
Brothers and sisters up early to make birthday cards with princesses and flowers
Nothing but love for our baby girl!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Footzoned!
Graduation in Montana was a little slice of Heaven. Look around...it was gorgeous!!!

First thing we saw when we pulled up were all these massive teepees. Yes, we knew we were in the right spot :) Happy and bright...just my style!

The river runs along the back side of this land. So peaceful and relaxing and quiet!

And this is the "treehouse" where Joy and I slept (the other 12 ladies slept indoors...boring). Don't let the sunshine deceive you, it was FREEZING at night. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was raining the first night. However, I never pulled my head outside of my sleeping back to confirm my suspicions. That being said, I LOVED sleeping in the treehouse. The sound of the river rushing and waking up to birds and sunshine made the cold all worth it.

The river
Day 1 & 2 were mainly spent in lecture and studying - preparing all of us for the big test.
Day 3 was test/grauation day!!! We also enjoyed a fantastic essential oils class.
Katri (our instructor) had us all dress up fancy for graduation day. We danced and took pictures and made it a fun celebration. It was soooo much work to make it to this point, that we all welcomed some laughter and party - vegan style.

Joy and Me before our test. Can you believe I wasn't nervous even one bit?

I just passed!!! Hollaaaa!

A midday basking...my favorite memory of the trip. I couldn't be bothered to change out of my dress.

Britt and Joy (gigantic head shot)

Graduation Night...so much fun!
We ate a strictly vegan, raw diet this entire trip, which I was pretty leary of, but surprisingly the food was delicious. There were some seriously rumbly tummies, though. Not because we were hungry, but because all the veggies were doing a number on our digestive system. Holy healthy overload. My body didn't know what to do with itself.
Graduation is just the beginning with footzoning. All of the in-depth "good-stuff" is taught at the advanced classes. Too bad most of them are taught in Montana (so far to drive!).
But for now, I am licensed and so happy to have this skill!!!
Hooray for me!!!
