Our Relief Society does a HUGE Christmas Dinner and guess who's house it's at this year?! MINE. Which I think will be fun, but I figured we should probably have some new kitchen cabinets for this shin-dig. It only makes sense. The party is on Tuesday, so we have spent the last week working our little tails off transforming our kitchen into something presentable. We got rid of that awful light box and installed can lights and some pendants. Then we painted all of the cabinets. And if I do say so myself, I LOVE IT. See what a little time crunch can do?

BEFORE... ugly. ugly. ugly.
Soooo many cabinets. Taken off, primed, two coats of paint, glazed, hung back up, new hardware installed. Holy crap, what did we get ourselves into?!

And more cabinets. Uuugh.

Oh, and let's not forget the mess. I guess this is what you get when you basically ignore children, laundry, dishes, personal hygiene, and pretty much everything else for nearly an entire week.

Oh, but all that was most certainly worth it...this is my beautiful new kitchen.

I LOVE it! If I can't have the dark glazed wood cabinets that I want someday, this is a wonderful second choice.

This is a close-up of the cabinets. New hardware and tobacco glaze. Wa-La.
A HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thank you to my great friends:
1. Kevin Bouck for helping Chris put in all of those can lights and getting rid of that blasted light box! What an awesome transformation that was in-and-of itself. Such a difference!!
2. Kristi Williams for spending SIX HOURS painting with me!!! I feel like I am eternally indebted to you. The thought of having to do another six hours of painting makes me want to throw up. This was a tremendous help!
3. Joy Bouck who is helping me make the house lovely for this Christmas party. She's got the eye.
Whatever would I do without my amazing posse?! Thank you again!
