GOING PRIVATE

After some consideration, I am going to go private. Aaah, what a pain. I know, I know. I will send all of you who are on my regular email list an invite. And anybody else, let me know if you'd like to be invited!! I just need your email address and I can send you one.

His own person

So this picture says it all.

Eli, Eli, Eli. He is a personality all his own. He can be such a fun, silly, happy, joyous child...but only when he chooses to be. And now-a-days, you just never know what's coming. I'm telling you, he actually enjoys causing everyone in this family grief. He smirks when he's being naughty or mean. He smiles when he gets into trouble. Punishment doesn't slow him down one tiny bit. In fact, it riles him up and makes him more determined to get his own way. He is stubborn and WILL NOT BACK DOWN. He's quick to disobey. He's not afraid to say, "NO!" when we tell him to do something. If we let him solve his own problems or have his say, he's wonderful. He's very detail oriented and takes his time at everything he does. He is extremely particular about how he wants things and I LOVE that about him. However, if you cross him and try to take things out of his control, he gets so upset! I have yet to figure out what works with this boy. I suspect I will need to alter my parenting a bit when it comes to my Eli, which I'm totally willing to do. I want to bring out that sweet side and make it more dominant. I know it's in there :) What to do, what to do...? Any suggestions?

Happy 12th Birthday, Caleb!

My first born is TWELVE. It is hard to believe my Caleb has reached this milestone!

Caleb is a one-of-a-kind, very special kid...if you know him at all, you know just what I mean. He is good-hearted and kind and smart and genuinely thoughtful. How did I luck out to be his mother? I will forever be thankful for the opportunity to raise such an amazing little person. I feel certain that he is destined for big and wonderful things! Happy birthday, Caleb!!

Just because they make me happy...

PS: I do love my Zak and Caleb, too, but it seems I take less pictures of them.

Friends

So I've been in a bit of a sentimental mood lately, thinking about all of my best friends from years past and those I am closest to now. It's funny how things cycle. People I thought I would stay close to forever and ever, I rarely talk to now and it makes me sad. I have made such wonderful friends over the years and have great memories and fantastic stories to tell :) It's funny how life keeps moving and
the people we are closest to now may be people we only talk to occasionally in the future. However, even as things change and new, wonderful people enter our lives...the love for old friends never really dies.
So, here are some random memories from happy times with various best friends :) Thank you for impacting my life. You know who you are! And I should mention this is in no way a complete list, just some things off the top of my head.
